The Bookworm of Edwards was founded in 1996 by Kathy Westover. The shop has grown over the years from a traveling van selling books near coffee stands to a large shop complete with it’s own cafe. They have become a highlight of the community and have become a gathering place for many of the locals in Edwards.

Founded in 1990, The Literacy Project of Eagle County is a nonprofit organization that assists children and adults alike to grow their literacy skills. The project began when a group of locals wrote a grant for funding to tutor 20 adults that wanted to learn to read so they could assist their children with homework.
