Vail Mountain delays opening by a week, now targeting Nov. 25

VAIL — Vail Mountain, originally slated to open Friday, Nov. 18, has set a new opening day of Friday, Nov. 25, Vail Resorts said Tuesday. Beaver Creek Resort is still scheduled for a Wednesday, Nov. 23, opening day, conditions permitting, officials said. Warm temperatures have hampered snowmaking efforts over the last several weeks, and natural snowfall has been light.
