The Bookworm of Edwards was founded in 1996 by Kathy Westover. The shop has grown over the years from a traveling van selling books near coffee stands to a large shop complete with it’s own cafe. They have become a highlight of the community and have become a gathering place for many of the locals in Edwards.
They also pride themselves on putting their community first. Over the years they have donated over $100K to local schools and nonprofits, donated over $120K worth of books, and hosted 950 events. They strive to benefit everyone through silent auctions, fundraisers and volunteer efforts and have impacted schools, jails, and senior citizens in the community. The Bookworm of Edwards believes in giving back at least 1% of their sales to the community.
The store is located at 295 Main Street in Edwards and is currently open 7 days a week.
