Originally a ranching community, the town of Eagle is Thirty minutes west of the slopes of Vail and 20 minutes west of Beaver Creek. Eagle sits at an elevation of 6,601’ and has a population of just over 7000 people. The area is known as a banana belt region, offering a slightly lower elevation and often milder weather than Edwards, Avon, and Vail, allowing spring to arrive earlier and fall to last a little longer. The charming town of Eagle offers an authentic mountain town feel, the true essence of Americana, with a traditional main street, a town park with an entertainment stage, a library and serves as the county seat.

Eagle sits 2 hours west of Denver and Denver International Airport. With the proximity of the Eagle County Regional Airport and our private jet center only 4 miles away, your guests can fly from Denver to Eagle and skip the I-70 traffic, which can sometimes take up to many hours to travel the 120 miles.

Eagle boasts world-class outdoor recreation with approximately 1020 acres of open space and

over 100 miles of mountain biking (, fly-fishing, horseback riding, golf, off-road motorized trails, hunting, camping, and hiking a short drive away.

Surrounded by breathtaking 360 mountain views, this area offers amenities and adventure right to your doorstep. Take a drive-up Brush Creek Road toward Sylvan Lake State Park or Yeoman Park, where adventurers can explore hiking and biking trails, paddleboard, or fish on the lake; a great spot for overnight camping with available tent sites, RV pads or stay in a cabin or yurt.  Head into the town of Fulford where spelunking the infamous Fulford Cave is popular.

The town’s events schedule seems to grow each year. Every Thursday evening in the summer is Show Downtown sponsored by the Vail Valley Foundation. We have a new Eagle River Park, Yoga festivals, Eagle Flight Days (a tradition is for the firetrucks to cool off the crowds of parade watchers with fire hoses as the last float rolls by), Christmas on Broadway, and the Eagle County Fair and Rodeo.

The charming town of Eagle offers neighbors a convenient, family-friendly community you can walk or bike ride to restaurants, shops, golfing, movie theater, brewery, and various community events in downtown Eagle.
