Robert moved from Palm Beach Florida to Vail, Colorado with his mother and five siblings in 1974 and immediately knew he found home. The crisp mountain air and the glacially-carved mountains not only spoke to his soul but to 800 others who called Vail home in the early 70s. It was a quaint town then but the qualities that drew him still call to him and now the Vail Valley reaches an international audience.
After graduating from Battle Mountain High School he pursued a BS in Marketing and then a Masters from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Robert acquired his Realtor license in 2003 and continues to advance his expertise in the real estate field including earning the Global Luxury Certified Home Specialist, Graduate Record Institute (GRI) and ePro designations.
His passion for both real estate and the Vail Valley is unmistakable. He started a gifting program when he became a Realtor where a portion of his earnings is donated to nonprofit organizations of his clients’ choice. Groups ranging from the International Red Cross to Canine Companions for Independence to the local animal shelter, Round-Up-River Ranch and Land and Rivers Fund have received gifts from Mr. Schilling.
When not practicing real estate, Robert spends much of his time volunteering with the Vail Rotary group and participating as a vestry and general member of the local Episcopal Church.
When not volunteering or working you might find Robert skiing, kayaking, rafting or hiking in our Mountain Paradise. Please call, text or email him with your real estate dreams, inquiries and sales.
